Jennifer and David
Betty and Bill
Big Bob and the citizins of PleasantvilleHow are 3 relationships portrayed in the movie Pleasantville?
Jen and Dave- It grows over time. In the present they are compeltely opposites and totally clash. In pleasentville they are in it together trying to change the town, trying to adjust, and grow closer from it more and more in pleasentville.
Betty and Bill- It all is based around art, and freedom of expression, and love. He paints her portrait, it like shows her that she can be herself, that shes beautiful with out...constricting clothes, and black and white, etc.
Big Bob- He wants total control, he knows things one way and wants to keep it that way. He is not open minded, and feels he owes it to the citizins to be this way. Also he shows that like being on his good side is the right thing by rewarding them with bowling stuff, and praise, badges, etc. He also feels the need to know all of their business all the time so that he can fix it back to the way he wants. his relationship is shown by him being the very last, stubborn, reluctant one to change into color, change his ways.
